The river is surrounded by stunning hills and coconut trees, and you’ll also get a great view of the mountains in the distance. The floating distance is around 500 meters and you can do it multiple times. We did it two times because we simply loved it. Walking back upstream takes around 15 minutes.

Get some food before you start.

We arrived on a rainy and cloudy day but our spirits were high. The scooter drive was simply stunning.

Once we arrived at Babahan Crystal Waters, we made a quick stop at a local warung an got some instant noodles. Not very healthy but don’t be too picky. There aren’t many alternatives around. For us it was enough though and we were ready for the adventure.

The starting point – the most adventurous part of the river

Yes, Babahan River Tubing is safe. The river is only 1-1.5 meters deep and the current is not fast, so it’s perfect for anyone looking for an easy and relaxing outdoor adventure. However, please always exercise caution when participating in any outdoor activity.

Where to start?

If you are up for some fun, jump into the water at the very end of the track if you start from the Babahan Crystal Water position on Google Maps. You will find a couple of stairs to go down to the river. After a few meters in the water, you will find a little action/waterfall. But don’t worry! It is only 20-30 cm high. It is fun to swim through and a little challenging to get out of it :)

Watch out for low-hanging bridges.

On the journey, you will face several low-hanging bamboo bridges. Make sure you go into a ducking position and mind your head. Don’t worry, the river current is not strong and you will easily manage it.

Mind your head and don’t get hit by the bamboo bridges ;)

Sit back and enjoy.

Not many words are needed. Just relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery!
